He situates his argument in the context of the research on the ideas of extensibility and structuration. Drawing on the time-geography approach, he presents a conceptual and diagrammatic model of the “person.” Using the concept of personal extensibility, he presents some observations on the ambiguous nature of the “person” in the context of the challenges and opportunities of globalization. He contends that an appropriate image of the person for geographers is an entity having fluctuating boundaries that stretch through space and time in constantly changing patterns. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: English refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: N holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
