Sumario:Wireless application protocol (WAP) services allow Internet access through mobile phones, and although the service has many faults, the race is on for wireless Internet space. It is estimated that there will be 1 billion cellular phone users by 2003, and companies will be anxious to have access to the buying power of these consumers. Most content on the Internet can be adjusted so that it can be viewed on a handset, and consumer demand will open the doors to a broad range of Internet sites. Talk is currently the biggest application for cellular phones, but there is potentially much more to come.
