Sumario:A study was conducted to investigate the contribution of the two hemispheres of the brain to visual implicit memory by examining two types of patients—some with extensive right occipital lobe lesions and some with a callosotomy carried out because of intractable epilepsy. Findings revealed that the right occipital lobe does not carry out a necessary role in visual implicit memory, and that the isolated left hemisphere can support normal levels of visual priming in a several different tasks.
