| Sumario: | Personal digital assistants (PDAs) represent the future of computing as they offer the chance of being always connected and updated. Screens for PDAs are getting better, battery life is being refined, and handwriting recognition is becoming better. Some drawbacks are that at the moment, wireless connectivity is still only available to a select few in 2001, and there is also a mismatch between what people want from PDAs and what the gadgets can actually do. However, as developments continue, PDAs may end up being more productive than desktop PCs, by doing what people want to do, when they want them to.
