| Summary: | A study was conducted to test the assumption that unintentional race-biased responses may occur in spite of the activation of neural systems designed to detect bias and to recruit controlled processing. Although race-biased responses were found to be prevalent across the participants, the findings indicated that those with larger error-related negativity waves to race-biased responses displayed higher levels of control throughout the task. |
