| Sumario: | The article discusses design practices and the experience of working as a designer by comparing design projects and domains. Designers' patterns of behavior in various design occupations are discussed. The research method is based on phenomenological analysis of information gathered during workshops about professional design practices. Domains include automotive engineering, graphic media, architecture, and electronic products. The Across Design Project, which was funded by the Cambridge-MIT Institute, is discussed. |
