ab: The article discusses the role of European countries in the Arab-Israeli conflict in 2011. Topics include the role of U.S. President Barack Obama in the conflict, previous European financial investments in Israel and Palestine, and differing opinions in the EU (European Union) member states about the conflict in light of their Muslim communities. It is suggested that the EU does not have as much influence with Israel as the U.S. does and should focus on state-building instead of negotiations with investments in economic, political, and technological development of Palestine.
