Age is a risk factor being higher from the age of 50. Symptomatology: Upon diagnosis, metastasis is present in 15-20% of the cases. The most frequent location is the liver, feasible to produce jaundice (icterus), hepatomegalia and ascitis. PET/CT: Is the images fusion that offer functional information using a radioisotope as 18F-FDG and images that contribute with anatomical information as it is CT. Conclusion: PET together with CT, has allowed distinguishing the activity associated to bowels from activity clearly outside thereof. Introducción: El cáncer colorrectal es el cuarto cáncer más frecuente en el mundo y la segunda causa de muerte en los países desarrollados en los que tienen hábitos dietéticos altos en grasas y bajos en fibras. La edad es un factor de riesgo incremantándose a partir de los 50 años. Sintomatología: En el momento del diagnóstico hay metástasis en el 15-20% de los casos. La localización más frecuente es en el hígado, pudiendo producir ictericia, hepatomegalia y ascitis. PET/CT: Es la fusión de imágenes que brindan información funcional utilizando un radioisótopo como es la 18F-FDG e imágenes que aportan información anatómica como es el TC.
