ab: The article presents news and notes on the developments in the field of public opinion in the U.S. as of September 1967. This article has been compiled from items submitted voluntarily by the representatives of academic, commercial, governmental, and voluntary organizations. Field Research Corp. (FRC) has announced a major expansion of their southern California operations. Richard Huriburt, Vice President of FRC, has been transferred to the company's Los Angeles office to manage a program of expanding interviewing, tabulating, and client-service facilities in that area. The new office will also offer computer programs for market research tabulations to its clients. In another development, Research Guild Inc. has announced the formation of the Research Guide de México. The Mexican firm will offer a full range of marketing and economic research in Mexico and Central America. Also, F.H. Littman, Chairman of the Group of European Audience Researchers (GEAR) has announced its formation. GEAR is independent of any other organization in the research field, and membership, by invitation only, is limited to audience researchers on the staff of, or attached to, European broadcasting organizations.
