| Sumario: | The article presents information on various developments taking place in the field of sociology. Central California Educational Television (CCET) has announced the formation of CCET/ Research Group a nonprofit communication research and development service. The Group will bring together specialists in the arts and technologies of communication and scholars in the humanities, natural, and social sciences in a common effort to improve the ability of each to reach the public. Announcement has been made of the formation of a new organization, Computers For Marketing Company, to provide consulting services in the use of computer programs for the survey and market research industry. The Headstart Regional Research and Evaluation Center of Boston University is conducting a series of studies on the effectiveness of Headstart programs and on various problem areas within the programs. These include a clinical research program and a diagnostic clinic, both focusing on emotional disturbances in Headstart children, a study to explore the variety of experiences and to determine the meaning school has for children in inner-city and suburban schools; a study to determine whether ages sex, or race affects the interpretation of facial dues in nonverbal communication.
