Sumario:The article discusses printing machines that create 3-dimensional (3D) images, an example of which is the so-called RepRap machine. The future of such devices is considered in the context of changes it may bring to traditional, capitalist manufacturing. The RepRap open source project is discussed and one of its principle contributors, Doctor Adrian Bowyer, is cited regarding his vision of the future use of 3D printing machines in the home. Also noted is the concept that 3D printing machines like RepRap will be able to replicate themselves.
