Sumario:The author reflects on the definition of subjectivity as an externally designated attribute which neglects the subject's relation to one's self. He argues that subjectivity should be defined by self-relational interiority and that the liberty of the individual, and not exteriority, is the key factor to subjectivity. According to the author, subjectivity must be treated as an act of self-creation which is developed by forces of the inner life and the capacity of the subject to affect itself.
