| Sumario: | The article examines the development of throughput-oriented microprocessor architectures. This development comes in tandem with the transition of microprocessors from single-core to multicore chips, a trend that is most evident in central processing unit (CPU) processor families. This technology achieves a higher level of performance by exploiting modestly parallel workloads. The author examines numerous aspects of microprocessor evolution, including core computations used in molecular dynamics, hardware multithreading, and underlying computation mathematics. |
