| Sumario: | The article examines the process on how parishioners of Barcelona diocese handle their last wills and testaments on the mid-14th century in Spain. It states that the will of Petrus de Podio, a citizen of Barcelona, instructs that his debts must be paid from his goods and his burial will be placed at the monastery of Sta. Maria de Carmelo. It notes that remainder of the assets of de Podio is set to be used for celebrating masses for providing dowries for girls. It emphasizes that executors of the testament are required to carry out the wishes of the deceased within the year and return an accounting to the bishop. |
