| Sumario: | The article discusses research on haptics technology and the market outlook for touch-based devices. The development of computer interfaces or tactile systems that rely on human touch are discussed. Sensory receptors that react to pressure, movement, and temperature changes in devices such as the Haptic Creature and vibrating cell phones are also discussed. The idea that people who cannot biologically handle information overload might be helped by touch-based feedback is mentioned.
