It has been a remarkable decade for Russian philosophy, and Dr. Scanlan has documented it splendidly in these pages (and in the 1994 volume Russian Thought After Communism: The Recovery of a Philosophical Heritage). We will miss his erudition and good humor in equal measure, we wish him all the best, and we welcome him to the editorial board.
