| Sumario: | The article discusses the ideas of Lev Manovich and the aim of the Software Studies Initiative in which he is involved. Manovich is interested in presenting visual arts and visual datasets that would engage people to see some historical significance to the patterns presented. His group at the University of California San Diego's Center for Research in Computing and the Arts illustrated their point through an analysis of their montage of "TIME" magazine covers. A description of their HiPerSpace and their other experimental projects are included. |
