| Sumario: | The article presents an overview of visits which wildlife researchers from several international agencies and tourists are making to the Mexican island of Isla Holbox just off of the Yucatan Peninsula in an effort to learn about mysterious whale sharks, the largest fish in the sea. Information which the researchers are attempting to discover through their research is discussed. A discussion of the sharks' eating and diving behaviors, and of a global increase which has been seen in shark tourism, is presented. |
