The author says that Wagner's music concerns in the German ideological identity. He mentions the opera titled the "Ring," by Ruth Berghaus and the film "Parsifal," by Hans-Juergen Syberberg which both represents Wagner's work. He states that the Berghaus practiced deconstructive reading and undermining the aesthetic unity of the "Ring" with ideological motifs such as doll characters, while the film "Parsifal" is filled with inconsistent symbols which lack interpretative grid. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: English refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of International Journal of Žižek Studies is the property of International Journal of Zizek Studies and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
