The four different types of the proposed conceptual colour metaphor mapping are discussed, which include primary, complex, sybsystemic, and specific-level metaphors. It also analyzes the grammatical functions of basic colour terms (BCT). The use of colour terms to establish the focus of a linguistic expression is also discussed. |
