Sumario:The article discusses a novel benchmark for artificial intelligence (AI). According to the author, the inability of computers to defeat the world’s best players of the board game Go may change with the application of a novel strategy that will revolutionize AI. He notes that computers have had difficultly mastering Go and no computer has ever beaten a professional Go player. Topics include an overview of Go, what makes it so difficult for computers to beat, and the use of the Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) method to create computer software that could enable a computer to beat Go players.
