Sumario:The article discusses the importance of motivation for pursuing a career in computer science, focusing on efforts to increase the diversity of computer science students. A program called Glitch Game Testers, run by the authors, is described, which recruits predominantly African-American male high school students to test pre-release versions of video games. The effectiveness of this approach for increasing interest in computer science among the target population is described.
