Sumario:The article examines the business relationship between high technology industry firms Microsoft, creator of the Windows operating system for microcomputers, and semiconductor manufacturer Intel. The reaction of both companies to the competitive threat to microcomputers posed by smartphones and tablet computers is considered, particularly a version of Windows created for smartphones and processors created by Intel for the Android smartphone operating system of Google Inc.
