Sumario:The increasingly complex nature of infusion therapy and the growing number of patients receiving this treatment, have led to a concurrent rise in complications. However, many of these are preventable. This article presents solutions, such as the use of in-line filtration for removal of micro and nano-particles, standard line arrangements for the administration of drugs and the background theory as outlined in a hands-on training workshop on infusion management.
