It examines several women and their works, including those of Ana Merino, Jazmina Caballero García, and Lola Arias. The author studies the recurring themes that appear within the works of this group of writers, including love, eroticism, and sexual imagery. He also analyzes the relationship between the style of these writers with that of the poetry of the 1980s, known as erotic poetry, citing similarities in the works of Nicaraguan poet Rubén Darío.
