Sumario:The article discusses the city of Austin, Texas, looking at the city's culture, food, and music. The author looks at the book "Keep Austin Weird," written by Red Wassenich, and argues that the city has a unique culture where inhabitants have unusual hobbies and interests due to a respect for the past, their Southern heritage, and Latino roots. Establishments including the restaurant Nubian Queen Lola's, the store Heritage Boots, and the Broken Spoke music venue, Austin traditions such as making yard art, pachanga, and parades, and neighborhoods are examined.
