Sumario:The article discusses molecular computing, looking at research on biochemical circuits which could be used in biological and chemical engineering and to control chemical reactions. Researchers from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) including Lulu Qian, Erik Winfree, and Ting Fung Chan have developed molecular circuits which use biomolecules such as DNA to store data and for elements of circuits such as logic gates. Other topics include research on cellular components, the use of cryptography paradigms to encode bacteria such as Escherichia coli, and DNA folding.
