| Sumario: | This paper offers a critical review of J. Symons y P. Calvo (eds.) ''The Routledge Companion to Philosophy of Psychology,'' with the aim of summarising the "state of the art" in the field. First, I examine the different ways of practising it, related to philosophy of science, cognitive science, and philosophy of mind. Second, I argue for a negative conclusion regarding the possibilities of historical approaches to make a real contribution to the field. Third, I explain why some topics appear to be central, pointing out some notable omissions in the book. Finally, I offer a brief account of possible future developments in philosophy of psychology. Este artículo lleva a cabo una revisión crítica del volumen de J. Symons y P. Calvo (eds.) ''The Routledge Companion to Philosophy of Psychology,'' con el objeto de ofrecer un resumen del “estado del arte” en filosofía de la psicología. Primeramente examino los modos de practicarla relacionados con la filosofía de la ciencia, la ciencia cognitiva y la filosofía de la mente. A continuación razono un juicio negativo respecto a las posibilidades de los enfoques históricos para aportar al desarrollo del campo. Seguidamente, explico el por qué de la centralidad de ciertos temas y señalo algunas ausencias notables en el libro. Por último, presento brevemente las perspectivas de desarrollo del área en el futuro. |
