Sumario:	The article discusses the invocation of the Persian King Darius in the play "Persae" by the Greek playwright Aeschylus. The author argues that the scene combines elements and rituals associated with both the worship of gods and the rites of necromancy. It is suggested that in creating this scene Aeschylus exploited Greek misunderstandings in order to characterize the Persians as barbarians in the play.
