Sumario:The article reports on expert views toward the traditional university model as discussed during the 2012 Going Global conference of the British Council. Ben Wildavsky of Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation states that the campus model is facing uncertainty as more students get their credits through e-learning. He stressed the increasing popularity of online higher education providers. An effective example of this is the MITx open courseware initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
