| Sumario: | This article examines the impact of globalization on cultural diversity and ethnocentrism. The author discusses the processes of homogenization and hybridization caused by globalization through a multilevel and hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) analysis. She also gives particular focus to the influence of American and Western cultures on other societies. A measurement of people's cultural attitudes is also provided, citing the Pew Global Attitudes Project, conducted between 2002-2007, as a main source. |
