| Sumario: | An essay is presented on the impact of the cinematic figuration of the digital aesthetics in the 2001 animated film "Waking Life," directed by Richard Linklater on the conventional referential connections of sensation and signification. She explores the dissolution of the visual and social perceptions of space and time in the formation of an in-between or interstitial aesthetics. She suggests that this aesthetics transvalues the notion of life and pervades contemporary culture in cinema. |
