Summary:The article reports on the display and creation of contemporary art inside the former Miguelete Jail in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2012. Between 1985 and 1990, the prison reportedly served as a detention center for delinquent minors, but was finally closed due to terrible conditions. The article states that Miguelete was transformed into the Contemporary Art Space in 2010 and houses paintings, artistic installations and "happenings" of artists from various backgrounds in a celebration of culture.
