| Sumario: | The author comments on a paper by Hans A. Baer et al on the potential contribution of critical medical anthropology (CMA) to naturopathy. She reflects on the historical and cultural context of the issues raised in the paper including the call for naturopaths to demonstrate a level of activism. She discusses the interpretation and use of the term holism in naturopathic practice and its relationship to vitalism. She agrees that the philosophical basis of naturopathy needs further articulation. |
