Sumario:The article reports that researchers from the University of California High-Performance AstroComputing Center have modeled the evolution of a synthetic universe with Bolshoi computer simulations and the Pleiades supercomputer. According to the article, the simulations would not have been possible without high-performance computing (HPC). Topics include the Adaptive Refinement Tree (ART) algorithm, the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Lambda Cold Dark Matter theory.
