Material and methods. Descriptive opinion poll in pregnant women, parents and relatives. Variables: attendance, age, sex, category, childbirth number, gestation period, residence place, care modality and socioeconomic stratum. Information was processed with the SPSS -- 12.0 statistic program. Results. There were 171 people, 79.5% women. Residence: Local people 62.3%. Care modality: Pregnancy agreement 43.4%. 58.7% of women were pregnant for the first time. 46.7% had between 30 and 34 gestation weeks. Age: 68.4% were between 20 and 34 years old. Conclusions. Low and medium socialeconomical stratus population participated more frequently than others. As the assistance was compulsory, that was the main cause for audience at the club; men participation was scarce. Objetivo. Conocer las características socioeconómicas de las familias, gestantes y acompañantes, para planear un programa de seguimiento integral del neurodesarrollo de los niños que egresan de las UCIN. Material y métodos. Encuesta descriptiva en las gestantes, cónyuges y acompañantes. Variables de estudio: asistencia y participación según edad, sexo, número de embarazo, tiempo de gestación, lugar de residencia, modalidad de atención y estrato socioeconómico. Resultados. Asistencia. Ciento setenta y un personas, de ellas 79.5% fueron mujeres. Residencia: 62.3% locales. Modalidad de atención: convenio de embarazo 43.4%. Cincuenta y ocho por ciento de las gestantes asistió en una ocasión y 46.7% acudió entre las semanas 30 y 34 de gestación. Edad: entre 20 y 34 años 68.4%. Conclusiones. Las familias del estrato social bajo y medio bajo, asistió con mayor frecuencia.
