It highlights the Pacific Standard Time (PST) research project of the Getty Research Institute, which links a range of art institutions across Southern California to celebrate local art history between 1945-1980 through archival acquisitions, oral history interviews, public programming, exhibitions, and publications. The Post-Studio concept was officially announced in 1970. It explores the connections between the pre-studio workplaces of art school and those of Post-Studio Art as well as explores the condition that the Post-Studio artists have grasped and exacerbated.
