Sumario:The article looks at the expansive reach and cultural capital of the Pacific Standard Time (PST) research project of Getty Research Institute in Southern California. It highlights the advertisement for the PST, featuring pink hot banners that are emblazoned with the initiative's logo marking PST exhibition sites and officially affiliated commercial galleries. The PST is described as a &10 million undertaking representing the externalized output that follows from years of ambitious research and development by the Getty Research Institute. The effort of PST in reconsider the art-historical account of Los Angeles is explored.
