Summary:The article discusses the articulation, recognition and reconfiguration of desire for contemporary social subject. The ideologies of Slovenian philosopher Slavoj &#381i&382ek about the demonstration of the concept of desire from a philosophical perspective are outlined. The conceptualization of the subjective manifestation of desire through the field of language and the function of speech in the context of Lacanian psychoanalysis is highlighted. The process of examining desire as a social phenomenon using film as a reflexive tool is described.
