| Sumario: | An essay is presented on the effects of the Internet on print culture, with a particular focus on the duplication and transmission of information. According to the author, the preservation of books and other print media will become increasingly important as more and more content is digitized. It is suggested that libraries should take on a role as advocates for print culture and its values. The historical relationship between print culture and manuscript culture is also discussed. |
