| Sumario: | The article presents information on the genesis of the poem "Cahier d'un retour au pays natal" by Aimé Césaire between 1939 and 1947. The editions of this text from 1939, 1942, 1943 and 1947 are examined. The organization and structure of this poem in the different editions are compared and analyzed. The genetic aspect of Césaire's poetry is discussed. The significant differences between the edition by French publisher Brentano's and French publisher Bordas are examined, as they affect the very heart of the poem and its meaning. |
