Avoiding a metaphysical way in space interpretation (as existing irrespective of social dimension), Werlen treats «spatial turn» as transition to the analysis of space in terms of action, that is as social phenomenon. He comes to the conclusion that different types of action (goal-instrumental, norm-oriented, and interpretive ones) correspond to different ways of geography-making (disposition models), and the changes of - dominating in the society - type of action inevitably entails the changes in the constitution of space. Mediatization of contemporary life cannot but influence our spatial practices and place identity, which makes Werlen announce the formation of new geographical consciousness. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: Russian refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of Topos (18150047) is the property of European Humanities University and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
