Sumario:The article discusses research on the relationship between economic growth and public debt levels in a report by economists Kenneth Rogoff and Carmen Reinhart, with information on an analysis of the results by students Thomas Herndon, Michael Ash, and Robert Pollin. Herndon's team found that the initial research contained statistical errors affecting the authors' conclusions that economic growth slows significantly after public debt reaches 90 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
