One cause of dyspnea in pediatric acute bronchiolitis is caused by a blockage diffuse distal airways (terminal bronchioles). Bronchiolitis is an acute infection caused by viral infection that causes inflammation of the upper and lower airways in under 24 months of age. Usually heal without prior involvement with subsequent catarrhal obstruction and inflammation of the lower terminal bronchioles, beginning a progressive respiratory distress with tachypnea, wheezing and crackling noises. In 10% of patients produce acute respiratory failure requiring treatment Pediatric or Neonatal ICU. In our hospital, Arnau de Vilanova in Lleida, acute bronchiolitis a health care represents over 30% of pediatric emergencies.
