My son has taught me that living with autism is simply another approach to life. I have learned a great deal over the years but attending a course on ASD at Edinburgh Napier University has reminded me just how challenging his life can be. The triad of impairments -- social communication, social interaction and imagination -- profoundly affect his life. The course on ASD has underlined the importance of reviewing our own behaviour and attitude towards those with ASD. |
