ab: The article presents various indicators related to labor force, employment, unemployment, labor compensation, consumer, producer, and international prices, and so on in the U.S. It presents the principal statistical series collected and calculated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). To eliminate the effect on the data of such factors as climatic conditions, industry production schedules, opening and closing of schools, etc., certain monthly and quarterly data are adjusted. An overview and comparison of major BLS statistical series is offered by comparative indicators tables.
