Sumario:The article presents a case study from the Rhizome nonprofit organization, which focuses upon art that engages with technology. The study focuses upon the impact that Internet culture and network aesthetics have had on contemporary art. Topics examined include the foundation of Rhizome in 1996 by the artist Mark Tribe and Rhizome's affiliation with the New Museum in New York City. An interview with Mark Tribe, Rhizome's executive director, Heather Corcoran, and the editor and curator Michael Connor is also presented.
