Sumario:The article discusses efforts by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to identify an alleged Soviet agent reported to be working within the FBI's ranks. The mole was reported by Soviet agent Aleksei Kulak in 1962. Details on the roles of FBI counterintelligence agents Joseph J. Hengemuhle and Joseph J. Palguta in the investigation are presented. According to the author, the FBI may have identified the mole but was unwilling to prosecute him or comment on the case.
