He worked as a journalist in Texas and established the San Angelo, Texas, Music Conservatory. He worked in the railroad industry and became a director of the Ohio River and Columbus Railway Co. He settled near Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 1920, wrote several books, and administered the journal "All's Well, or the Mirror Repolished."
