Sumario:The article discusses the highlights of the activities of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. ACM authors have been offering three choices for managing publishing rights, where an author pays open access option, an exclusive license agreement, along with the traditional copyright transfer. The organization's Education Board has prepared results from its first survey for non-doctoral-granting institutions in computing (NDC). The U.S. Public Policy Council of the ACM has provided support, raised opposition or gave expert feedback to lawmakers regarding the Identity Ecosystem Steering Group, the continuity of electronic-government and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
